Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
A long over due picture post
It's pouring out right now and I feel like a bundle of contradictions. Happy, thrilled with my life, content with the progress and changes I have made in recent months, and yet somehow nauseus all day. I learned some news this weekend that shook me, more than it should have, more than I expected it to and I can't seem to get the weight off of my chest. I will, I'm sure. And yet, despite the lovely weekend and all the happiness I've been building these past weeks and months, I'm heavy hearted today.

Perhaps all the more reason to concentrate on the all good in my life.

Me smiling, with a belly full of crumpets, at Tess.  High tea Saturday morning at Christea's...happiness in the form of scones, raspberry jam and minty goodness.

Street theater galore in the city this weekend. Festival Etcetera and Franjer.

Going back in time now...

Me working on the house (in this case, painting the kitchen) several weeks ago.

Lotte and I making breakfast on June 15th.

Syra checking out my bookshelves during the party on the June 21st

More of the party:

Is there such a thing as too many flowers?

Well, maybe...I just uploaded about a thousand and one garden photos from my camera, but I'll spare you for now.

In that first photo you look relaxed, happy, and up to No Good. It would appear that Tess is a very good person for you to have in your life right now.

I was up to LOTS of GOOD this weekend. ;) And, I agree, I think she is a very good person to have my life right now. Tremendously good, actually.

Why was my first gut reaction to think that your ex is dating someone?

Ah, well. Glad it's not what I thought it was.

Still, you do look like a happy soul. Focusing on that can only be good.

Ah, perhaps I should have included the following under the third picture: "Tess smiling, with a belly full of crumpets, at me."

Is there such a thing as too many flowers?

This flora-deprived urbanite says: No. Absolutely not.

Am glad to hear that you're generally "thrilled with [your] life" (it clearly suits you!) and hope that the nausea subsides very soon.

Also: I covet your hair.

Hopefully I'll be able to supply a flower fix for you soon. ;)

Life does suit me right now. I'm feeling less stable than I had hoped and expected, but I guess that's par for the course. Just because things are going well, I can't expect miracles. Minor set backs aren't a sign of lack of progress. I need to keep reminding myself of this.

My hair thanks you.

I can't wait for you to see it either. I think you'll really like it. I know I do.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again in real life again in general. I think we could both really use a long conversation shared over several pots of tea. Was happy to read your revelations about art today. I agree.

Delphinium dreams and impish grins from lovers make a house warm and cozy. Everything looks so wonderful. And you, you look amazing as ever. :)

You know what I've realized? I feel that Tess & I have similar noses, although mine might be longer and a bit lopsided, and I realized... it's a really cute nose. I've always been oddly self-conscious of my nose, but I think, now, it's cute.

What an incredibly odd revelation for me to have right now, but I'm glad I had it :) And I'm glad you've got beautiful flowers and a nice house and a nice girlfriend and everything!

You look so happy and lovely, and your home so happy and lovely. I hope you can get through the rough stuff, and it's good to see that you're smart about focusing on the important: the happy things!

Thank you. Life really is happy and lovely. I'll get through. Maybe not as fast and as furiously as I sometimes hope, but I'll get there. I'm well on my way. :)

zulk straattheater is gaaf!
