Still alive and kicking.
I haven't been here in a while and that has been deliberate. I've needed to ween myself from my obsessive Internet and so I needed to be here much less as well. But I wanted to let you all know I am still alive, still designing gardens and in many ways still doing well.

I have lots of pictures I could and perhaps should post here. I know that it is nice to have the chronicle to look back on and if things slow down and I have time to do so, I will share.

But for now I leave you with a pretty picture of a design for a contest that I made together with another designer and Tess. It was one of my first successful collaborations with Tess - a case where I really trusted her skills and talents and didn't try to micromanage. That trust was rewarded, and in turn I learned quite a bit about Photoshop as well. Skills that are good to have.

Gardening season slowing down here and I have promised myself to "enjoy life a bit more" in the coming months. It is gray out and I have been stressed and the results have been that I am in a bit of a rut. I want to start going out to the theater, visiting museums and lectures and the like more. I've been neglecting those things for a bit. I would like to make the time to enjoy those things more again.

Ahhh, thanks for the update. Not having seen an entry from you in quite a while, I actually went to your profile a week or so ago to see if you had unfriended me. I was very glad to see you hadn't.

I really love the picture and the design! Good to know you're still going strong. :)

You know I was just thinking/wondering about you! I'm glad to hear life is going well for you. I'm not on here much either as we started a business 7 months ago, but I do check in b/c I miss my friends on here. :)

Yes, I think it's a similar story. I miss the people here as well, but given the choice of maintaining my virtual life and choosing to enrich and really live my physical life...well, I don't think there really is a choice. I need to go for the latter.

I've seen snippets of news about the business. How are things going? Not an easy time to start a business.

That's a Great Design. Good to see that you are doing well.

I'm taking an extended break from LJ as well. It's nice to read books, take walks and not reside in the cyberworld.

Thanks, and, yes, books and walks and all that good stuff...Nice to check in from time to time because I do miss a number of people - you among them - but the trade off is good. Hope all is well with you and Glen.

I have been absent from LJ for a long time, too, though every time I'm out and about I see something that makes me think of you. I like the work that you shared with us above. Lovely!

Sorry that I am just responding to this now. It makes me happy to think that when you see good garden design and the like you think of me - it's very nice to be associated with and thought of like that. Thanks.
